Hmm....
I decided to cheat and find the album on IRC so I could hear it before I bought it...and I'm kind of disappointed. It's the same old Mxpx, which is part of the problem. The voice and catchy melodies are there but there's no real progression from the previous albums. Only 2 or 3 of the songs had hooks that left more than just a passing impression on me. The album seems to be just a rehash of ground already covered. Not as solid as The Ever-Passing Moment and not and catchy as Life in General.
This might be the first Mxpx album that I don't buy. :frown:

Yeh, I like some of their stuff, even if they're a bit liberal for my taste. (Kind of like FiF, although I have much less respect for FiF than I do MxPx.)

Why do you say that?

Well, songs in which they praise cheating or stealing, and put down American society, and the idea of getting a job and working hard for a living, settling down, etc....
But they have some great songs, as well. I take the good, throw out the rest.

Same reasons I stopped listening to them after Going the way of the buffalo... They do put on a good live show. I saw a show where some dude tried to call them out as "wannabe punks" and Mike called him the punk police. That guy got :bonk:ed
