Hello everyone! I'm doing a research paper on Religious Freedom for my English 102 class. In order to this paper, I have to perform a survey. I was wondering if any of you could help me! If you could please answer these questions for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you guys so much!
---------------------------------------------

Age:

Sex:

Your religion:

Do you feel that there is a "right" religion?

Do you believe that some people are morally inferior because they have different religious beliefs?

Did you establish your own religious views or were you raised in a family with those views?

Do you think that the government should maintain the separation of church and state? Or do you feel that it would be better for the country to abolish it?

Is your religion a more social or personal aspect of your life?

Do you believe that homosexuality is wrong? Is this because of your religoius beliefs?

Do you feel that all religious groups should get government funding?

Do you find it ironic that Harry Potter is being banned but The Chronicles of Narnia is highly praised when they both have essentially the same characters?

Do you know what the Religous Right is? Do you agree with all that they're doing?

Do you think that it's right for politicans to use their religious views to gain votes?
For example: A church in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, ran an ad in the local newspaper announcing it would provide transportation to the polls for voters – but only if they agreed to vote for President George W. Bush.

Does it surprise you that sex education classes headed by religious officials are teaching teenagers things that are not true in order for them to maintain sexual abstinence?
(In an article from the Washington Post: Many American youngsters participating in federally funded abstinence-only programs have been taught over the past three years that abortion can lead to sterility and suicide, that half the gay male teenagers in the United States have tested positive for AIDS virus, and that touching a person’s genitals ‘can result in pregnancy,’ a congressional staff analysis has found)

I dont like it when kids try to get others to do their homework for them.

Kids should be out getting a haircut and a job by the time they are in 3rd grade.

alright, fair enough. I just needed to gather data for a research paper and thought someone would be nice enough to help. But obviously not. Thank you all anyways. All the best.

Well, generally you come in, introduce yourself and get to know some people and then get into the nitty gritty. Your poll on the other hand comes across as jaded.

Well I'm sorry it came off that way. Truly. I have a million things going on in my life and the last thing I really want to think about is this paper. But when your teacher hands you a book and tells you to do a paper on it based on the information, you kinda have to go with it. And frankly, this was the subject material that had to do with the book. I'm just trying to get this thing done. I'm sorry if I offended you. Just disregard the post then, please.

Are these questions that you came up with, or were these assigned by an instructor?

Your teacher put all those loaded questions in, or you did?

I had to come up with questions that reflect what was stated in a book she assigned. Knowing I was agnostic based on a list of issues facing the world (including things like minimum wage and poverty), she decided to give me a copy of Piety and Politics by Reverend Barry Lynn. This is my first college english course so I really have no idea what I'm doing, I'm just trying to pass this class so I can go on with my life. The book was basically an attack on the government's view of separation of church and state. Hence, the questions. These are basically the points that were brought up in the book.

Sorry: to clarify, i wrote the list of issues, one being religous tolerance. it was like a 3 sentence thing.

well the questions reflect someone's already held attitudes. They are what are known as "loaded" questions. The questioner seems to already have made up their mind about what they think about the subject and it shows in the question.

example:
Do you know what the Religous Right is? Do you agree with all that they're doing?

Obviously you think the religious right is doing something wrong.

Do you think that it's right for politicans to use their religious views to gain votes?
For example: A church in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, ran an ad in the local newspaper announcing it would provide transportation to the polls for voters – but only if they agreed to vote for President George W. Bush.

Again, you show that you believe that politicians are using religion to get votes and you think its wrong. Not to mention you are a liberal democrat who doesn't like Bush.

Does it surprise you that sex education classes headed by religious officials are teaching teenagers things that are not true in order for them to maintain sexual abstinence?

and here you show that you already believe that religious officials are lying to kids to get them to abstain from sex.

Your questions tell us more about what YOU believe than you are trying to find out about what we believe.

Heck I could write a whole paper just on what you reveal about your views are in your survey.
