I remember as a kid on the playground of Harrison Elementary School many years ago of a bully throwing snowballs. One hit me in the face given me my first black eye, boy did that hurt! Many years later the physical pain is gone but sometimes I can still feel the mental pain. I remember thinking, “I sure wish I had a big brother to rescue me and take care of that bully.”
Today you may need a big brother to come to your rescue because life can become like a bully pushing us around and making us feel small and insignificant. Today you’ll discover Jesus is your Big Brother sent back into the world by God to look after you. “In all truth,” Jesus says, “I tell you, whoever listens to my words, and believes in the one who sent me, has eternal life; without being brought to judgment such a person has passed from death to life.” {John 5:24 NJB}
But Jesus is more than your Big Brother he has the ability to heal wounds received at the hands of life. He has the ability to soften the scars left behind so you can tell of his goodness to others who’ve been bullied by life!
Remember a life given to Jesus will never be small and insignificant again!
