It stands for dissociative identity disorder.

unless you meant the Dissociative identity disorder in which case...isn't it basically the same as multiple personalities?

hee hee....no worries. :) and yeah, it used to be known as multiple personality disorder, but d.i.d. is a more accurate term cause it's not different personalities.
