Quite some time ago in the SB I tried to think up a verse that supported the idea that children go to heave but I couldn't think up the verse. Something about David saying he would see his kid again. But another person in the SB refuted such a verse which sounded fine to me. Except that I didn't think he had refuted the right verse.
Later I found the verse, and maybe it's the wrong one, same one, dunno. But this verse is used to support that children go to heaven. Or at least that the children of believing parents go to heaven. Perhaps a covenant thing?
Anyway, 2 Sam 12:33 says:
But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.
No time to go over context, but it is an oft used passage. Does this support that we can be sure of salvation of children?
Personally I do not believe in age of accountability and all that. I don't think you are saved, then lost, then perhaps saved again, etc... Human nature includes sin, so that is from the womb. However, that doesn't mean God has not given grace to them. I don't know.
So how does this work? What are your views on AoA and what Biblical support can you give?
Peace
