Because she wants to help save the planet... (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/femail/article.html?in_article_id=495495&in_page_id=1879)
Okay, the sterilization thing is pretty stupid but it's her life (idiotic as her logic may be). However, calling it 'immoral' to have an already conceived child because of its potential impact on the planet is just beyond the pale... I don't have a word for this. Monstrous just doesn't convey it.

Well, I guess if everybody thought that way, we wouldn't have to worry about humans destroying the planet, because there wouldn't be any people left.
Another mark on the wall for the Environmental Religion zealots, as well as the pro-death crowd.
How horrible.

Dr Walters says every family choosing to have more than a defined number of children should be charged a carbon tax. He goes on to argue that those purchasing condoms or undergoing sterilisation procedures should be awarded carbon credits.

Why was refraining from having sex until you get your voluntary sterilization too much to ask for saving the planet? Gotta wonder.

Yep. She could have bought a condom and gotten a "carbon credit" out of it.
Whatever the heck that really is.

I love how there's a poll on the left side of the page about how the Spice Girls are bad role models. We have our priorities a little mixed up.

The only good news is that her monstrosity will die out with her.

That first woman there makes me understand why the security is generally higher in neonatal/birthing wards. Babies need to be protected from people with ideas like that -- the earth doesn't need protection from babies. *sighs and shakes head* And I hope she's just loving that precious environment every time she takes an airline flight, too, halfway across the world. Just think of what the fuel must do to her environment on a trip to South Africa.....
As for the second woman, while her choices would never be mine, choosing to not have kids or to have one partner sterilized isn't something I'd argue too strongly with. Some people simply don't want to be parents, have no desire to be parents, and know somehow that if they were parents they'd take no interest in their kids. In cases like that, not having kids is probably best.
But killing the ones you have to save the earth is as asinine an idea as they come. I wonder if people who want to save the earth that badly would hesitate to terminate their own lives. If not, they should ask themselves why. Is life precious to them? Do they really enjoy being alive and contributing to the world, simply because they were lucky enough not to have mothers with the same bizarre ideas they have?
You've gotta wonder.
And if people like that REALLY want to help the environment, they should be holding public lectures and info sessions about how best to "live green" -- biking rather than driving, recycling, you name it. They could teach kids and adults alike. Something tells me that might be more effective than "doing your part" by terminating the pregnancy you already have.

 Stori, Stori, don't you get it? It's okay if other people - like those nasty baby things - die for the environment but not us card carrying Greenpeace (apologies to Greenpeace) members! Someone has to live long enough to convince the rest of you barbarians to kill your kids and die out so the planet can endure.
Silly girl...
