If the Lord Jesus was standing in front of you right now, how would you know it was Him?

He'd have a sort of glowing "spiritual aura" surrounding Him, wouldn't He? :dufus:

I would imagine the scars on his hands, side and feet would be a good indicator.

Because I have His picture in my wallet... Don't you?

I believe that we would know immediately who He is.
I also believe that, in Heaven, we will know right away who everyone is without having ever met.
Just look at the how the disciples reacted to Moses and Elijah at the transfiguration. :thumb:

Are you sure that Moses and Elijah were not wearing name tags?

I will know because there will be no doubt.

His sheep will know him.

Will HE know me? :hrm: (with or without a flashlight behind His head)

"Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me"
Sound familiar?

I see no reason to assume that we would recognise Him.

Except that he tells us we will right?

When he returns, sure. But that's not the question being asked in this thread (unless we were all supposed to guess that that was the meaning).

I see the point. But still, don't sheep always know the voice of the shepherd?

I see no reason why he'd be any more recognised this time around.

No, they don't. Remember the disciples who met Him on the road? I think we recognise His voice (i.e. His message) through the Gospel, but I see no reason to think we would recognise His audible voice if He was walking around ont he earth. It wold be a human voice, right?
