After a story on nightline last week about Sen. Chuck Grassley, a Republican from Iowa who is looking at misusing "tax-free donations to the church" to finance a lavish lifestyle of various televangelist ministries run by Paula White, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn.

I began to wonder what Jesus would do in a modern day consumer society after that news story and what would be his approach with capital markets considering todays little stock market dip in Asia and Europe.
What investments would Jesus possibly deem acceptable and suitable in today's society?
So do you think he would put his money in socially responsible mutual funds, something like:
http://www.calvert.com/
Or Would he be a bit more targeted and look at a certain sector like alternative energy, something like the Market Vectors Global Alternative Energy ETF (GEX)

Or would Jesus say capital markets are too risky and put everything in a simple passbook account.
Or would he decide to share and spread the wealth by being a social capitalist:
http://www.calvertfoundation.org/
Or would he do something else with whatever money he did have because we know Jesus did not like moneychangers in a house of worship, and also compares the likelihood of a rich man entering heaven with that of a camel passing through the eye of a needle.
