The black-focused school is a go.
After a heated but civil debate, Canada's largest school board voted 11-9 last night to open an alternative Africentric school to help fight a 40 per cent dropout rate among Toronto's black teens.
Stupid. The TDSB is trying to fix a problem it created by doing more of the stupid crap that caused this in the first place. The general feeling around here is that if schools focused more on black culture and history, black kids would be more likely to stay in school. I hate to burst anyone's bubble but more shots of MLK from different angles (maybe a close-up of his nasal cavity?) won't do anything because I assure you nobody drops out of school due to a lack of black history. Not only is history a minor component of our curriculum (we have to take a grand total of 1 history class during HS), but nobody else stays because of it. They don't stay because they're not motivated (a feeling I can personally relate to). If they want black kids to stay in school, I recommend the following:
1. Stop treating them like retards. They're people, not inherently disadvantaged because of their skin color. If I had to put up with the kind of condescending liberal crap they do I'd have quit school too.
2. Man up. Way too much indulgences in how people are allowed to behave. In one parent families (which is what a lot of these kids are in) the one parent is too busy working to instill enough discipline in their kid. Which means they get away with a lot at home. Don't move that to school, idiots. Our schools' ridiculous indulgences turn even otherwise disciplined kids into monsters, and it only gets worse for 1 parent families.

I think Canada should have special schools that allow slackers to play online video games, and post their angst-riddled rants in obscure web forums, all day.

it's ironic, the left so often comes off as being no less racist as the typical neonazi or white supremacist. they don't mean to, but it happens all the same.

the white supremacist says that the minority is inferior to a white person in going to school, accomplishing job requirements, and so on.

the liberal thinks the same thing, which is why we have affirmative action.

i've never heard a white supremacist on the subject, but they would probably say that minorities can't manage normal, healthy families.
