Is there such a thing???

I've still got a bunch of venison in my freezer that needs to be used before Nov. 15. I have yet to come up with any good recipes. I will continue to marinate it in beef broth and cook it like beef if necessary but I'm getting sick of that.

HELP!!

Thank You for asking this! I love venison

Here's my recipe, its very easy

Take a venison roast, (backstrap tenderloin if you have any left, otherwise use the round or shoulder) about 1 or 2 pounds, heat up a frying pan, add a little oil, brown the the roast on all sides. Set the roast on 2 layers of foil. Slice an onion and lightly brown that, add a little garlic and soy sauce (and a Tbsp of jelly if you want) and scrape up the brown bits off the pan. Reduce this until its about as thick as BBQ sauce. Pour this over the roast, add some pepper, and wrap the roast in the 2 foil layers. Put this in the oven at 350 degrees for about an hour. After the hour, take it out and let it rest about 15 minutes, then poke the foil over a serving platter to let the sauce out. Unwrap the roast and slice it thinly.

If you want to, after you bake it, leave it in the foil and put it in the fridge overnight, the next day let the juice out and slice the roast for sandwiches, its very good cold.

Esther let us know how they turn out and if you happen to like any of them Please put them in The "Tweb Cook Book" Sticky.

I'm sure others would like to see them.

And if anyone else has a good recipe venison or other wise please share it with the rest of Theologyweb.
