More Quicklook Plugins!

Here's a list of a bunch of quicklook plugins—files that enhance the ability of Quicklook to, you know, quickly look at stuff.

Most of them are as simple as dragging the .qlgenerator file into the /Library/Quicklook/ directory. Others, such as the Matroska extention, involve editing Quicktime's .app package contents, so do so at your own risk. (I use VLC for Matroska files anyway, but Quicklook uses Quicktime to preview videos.)

So far, I've tried a bunch, including the editing of the info.plist in Quicktime.app/Contents/ Caused no problems, and did what it said it would. Nice.

The BetterZip plugin is awesome. The Zip one only looks into Zip files, but the BetterZip seems to cover every compression format out there.

QuickLook sure has been an unexpected stand out feature of Leopard.

I don't realize how much I use it until I have to browse files on my work PC. Same with Quicksilver.

Luckily I can browse files on my home PC via the home network.
