Hi I'm Marshall Brain. I came to this site because I have some knockdown arguments for God's complete non existence. Since this is remedial christian theology I thought I'd post them here so that you couldn't get past them.

Check out my site Why Won't God Heal Amputees and 50 Simple Proofs. Here's some of my latest material. Check it out and see what you think.

Having looked around Marshall Brain's knockdown theistic site Why Won't God Heal Amputees I have to help him along with some more irrefutable arguments. Thus, this thread is a discussion on more things that make the Brain's arguments all the more powerful.

Think about the day

Have you ever contemplated the amount of time in the day? What I mean is have you ever wondered why it lasts 24 hours? It’s odd isn’t it? Why does the day last for such a stupid amount of time? Think about it, if we had 25 hours in the day that would make more sense wouldn’t it? If God is all powerful why couldn’t he round the day up to the nearest 5 to make 25 hours like any sane person would have? Just think about the things you could do with the extra hour in the day:

* You could get more work done
* You could have an extra drink
* You could sleep for an extra hour which would help you be refreshed (even though sleep is stupid)
* You could visit your grandma
* You’d have more time to get your homework done

It doesn’t make sense that an all powerful God would make the day 24 hours long when it would clearly be better if it was 25. Normal people round up numbers; is God a psychopath?

But what if we assume that God is imaginary that would make more sense of the fact that the day is 24 hours wouldn’t it? If we realise that any sane or normal person would round up the hours in a day then we would automatically come to the conclusion that anyone not doing that is insane. So either God doesn’t exist or he’s a psychopath. Do you see?

I think we know the answer. God is imaginary.

You don't have a single thing.

Why not? I could use a laugh.

Johnny after eating beans is powerful also. More powerful than anything Marshall Brain has.

Think about the day

It doesn’t make sense that an all powerful God would make the day 24 hours long when it would clearly be better if it was 25. Normal people round up numbers; is God a psychopath?

And then you could ask "Why not 26?" and then "Why not 27?" I would suggest you look at the physics of such a thing instead.

But what if we assume that God is imaginary that would make more sense of the fact that the day is 24 hours wouldn’t it? If we realise that any sane or normal person would round up the hours in a day then we would automatically come to the conclusion that anyone not doing that is insane. This isn't an argument. This is an assertion based on personal preferences that are ignorant.

Beat that theists.

I play the Kalam Cosmological Argument card, the objective beauty card, the objective morality card, the Five Ways of Aquinas, the Argument from Truth of Augustine, etc.

Come back when you want more than childish games.

I have a simple solution for you. If you want 25 hours in a day, let it be so. Design a clock for yourself that contains 25 hours. God did not design the clock you currently are using and will have no issue with you designing one to suit your wishes. If you think sleep is stupid, I suggest that you not be so stupid as to sleep like the rest of us stupid people. Try it for several days and come back and let us know how much wiser you have become.

One main problem with your "argument" (and I use the term as liberally possible in this case) is that it only focuses on only the positives of an extra hour while ignoring the negatives. For example, we could get an extra hour of work done or sleep for an extra hour, but then work and the need for sleep would then increase proportionally. The body would use an extra hour's worth of sustenance, and, therefore, we would have to eat more per "day".

Or was this meant as a parody of atheistic arguments?

The problem with your "argument" (using the term by the most liberal of definitions) is that you focus only on the positives of having a 25-hour day while ignoring any negatives. For example, we might get an additional hour to work or sleep, but we would also need proportionately more time to work and sleep. Using the "extra" time for activities that weren't necessary for living (e.g., visiting one's grandmother) would cut into the extra time that one would require for those that were.

Oh, is that your site? The one that goes on at length about Mark 11:22-24? or is it matt 21:21 or whichever of the gospels it appears in?
If thats your site, yes I've read it.
