Thinner. lighter weight and made of higher quailty paper. Strong & durable.

A high grade quailty paper with improved brightness & higher strength for durability. This paper is chemically treated to prevent yellowing.

No sorry they use the opaque paper only. Thats the price we pay for Crossway being the Pub. But they do treat the paper so it should not yellow.

I like the improved durability, though.

Ah, well.

The deluxe ref uses the thicker paper almost as good as the hardbacks. :nsm:

A few months ago, after seeing this thread, I tried to figure out how to buy indopaque paper (unbound, with nothing printed on it). I believe I saw on the internet that it is manufactured by the swiss firm Bolloré, but at the moment, I can't even find it on the Bolloré site. Do you know if this paper is available to the public? I am hoping to purchase about 21,000 sheets (preferably 8 1/2 x 11, could also be A4 size), a quantity much smaller than that used by industrial publishers and much larger than that used by typical consumers, and I am finding it very hard to find a decent price on a good bible paper.

Thank you very much.

Contact your locl office suply store. For that amount of paper they would more than likely look into for you. I would call Cambridge Un. and ask where they are suplied from. Other than that be careful of ordering from the internet. We have had people tell us that they got good paper and found out later it was and acid infused paper that really started to shred after time. Good luck.

The onion paper that my Nelson Study Bible is on really is flimsy. I hate it.

Might want to try contacting Denver Book Binding Co. 1-800-727-4752 or Douglas & Biggs Custom Bindery 615-232-2200 and ask them. If they do nt have what you are looking fr they might know who does.
