MSN,
I had no idea there were so many different binding materials.
I have another question, can I send an old Bible somewhere to have it re-bound?
If yes, what would you recommend is the nicest way to have it redone?

Another place I would suggest is a good boot repair shop. When I was in high school I worked at one and we redid bindings on some old leather Bibles. I would try that route first because you can talk with the people face to face instaed of sending it off to be done.
Stay away from having it redone with synthtic leather or particle leather. ask for gen. leather only. See if they can send you samples before you have it done as well.

Thanks for the information, I'll call a couple of those places.
I have a couple of Bibles that are half leather, half duct tape, I feel like Red Green.

I had a student Bible in high school that was nothing but duct tape. Everybody knew what it was when they saw it. did wonders for starting conversations at track meets.

There seems to be something quite comforting about the feel of duct tape.
