Putin: U.S. provoked Georgia crisis to help Republicans

Vladimir Putin launched a fresh attack on the United States, saying U.S. advisers were involved in the Georgian conflict and accusing the White House of provoking the crisis to help Republicans win the U.S. election.

Well, with the total failure of George Bush's presidency, they need something.

In a way, the US has been pushing Russia's buttons for a while. Missile defense shields and their unbridled support of Georgia certainly hasn't helped anything.

But, Putin is a silly opportunist. The US was not trying to provoke Russia into doing anything against Georgia, nevermind the Republicrats.
