I was at the Richard Dawkins/ John Lennox debate in Oxford on Tue 21st and managed to catch ten minutes with Dawkins at the reception afterwards.
Its online now to listen to at www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable
We went round some pretty interesting topics. Significantly I challenged Dawkins on the fact that his belief in atheistic evolution as the basis of our moral beliefs means that he cannot entertain absolute moral values. He ultimately admits that his belief that rape is wrong is as arbitrary as the fact that we have evolved five rather than six fingers.
Let me know what you think on that and this...
We also do quite a bit of to-ing and fro-ing on the Kalam argument and fine tuning of the Universe. Again, surprisingly he seems to admit that the cause for the universe may be beyond the realm of science.
I think this is quite provocative stuff!

thank you I will listen to it. Do you have a podcast feed? I really prefer to listen to shows on my iPod.
Also do you have an audio promo clip for your show? Unless you don't want to be associated with orthodox preterists, I would be glad to play it on my podcast.

You don't have to get a sound file through a podcast feed to get it on your iPod.

It did seem like a strange question coming from you. I mean, you are the resident Apple freak.

I need a podcast feed to get the shows automatically. I don't have time to go to sites and manually download shows.

How did the actual debate(Lennox-Dawkins) go? Was it formatted better then the previous debate? Just wondering if anyone is going to review it and if it can be found anywhere?

I was there and thought it went well. There were areas where each seemed stronger than the other. Overall I think John did a persuasive job. It will at least have rattled a few of the atheists preconceptions that there are really no good answers to any of the arguments Dakwins has.
The format was just a "discussion" they abandoned the previous debate format, which I don't think really worked. So it ranged where the candidates wanted it to. Interestingly Dawkins started out straight away with questioning John's Christian beliefs, and started to question why anyone would believe in a God who would supposedly be btohered about sin and dying on a cross, and resurrection - all of which he described as "petty".
Anyway, I shall be broadcasting a review of the debate (obviously the debate itself will only be available on the DVD when it comes out) but will include interviews with Lennox and Dawkins, Larry Taunton of the Fixed Point Foundation and the views of a number of people who watched the debate.
That'll be avialable from Sat 8th Nov on my webpage www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable

And Justin gets completely shredded by an atheist yet again. That interview was posted on Dawkin's website (http://richarddawkins.net/articleComments,3279,Premier-debates-with-Dawkins,Premierorg,page1#comments) and everyone there said it was rubbish.
The only good thing about that radio show is watching atheists come out victorious again and again. I would have thought that ever since John Loftus appeared on it Justin would have admited defeat. I supose it just shows that some xians will think there aregument from moral stuff is good however many times it gets refuted.

After reading Dawkins website and comments, it does not surprise me that poor/empty, sophmoric responses fill up most of the comments.
As for John Loftus, I did not think the show he appeared on was a "debate" but more of a discussion, where each side had a chance to give their views. I didn't feel anyone really was there to come out on-top.

This is cute coming from someone who can't even shred if he has a paper shredder....

Yeah yeah yeah. I heard that one. His arguments are still weak. Keep in mind that some of us have debated DJ on the problem of evil before Mikey.
