People like Mega-church pastor John Hagee believe the Jewish people have a privileged relationship with God. The "Dispensational" view that the Jewish people are still under the covenant God made with Abraham.

The thinking of Christian Zionism goes that "Christian should support Israel and its claims" as this will bring us into alignment with God's purposes for the end-times.

Revd Stephen Sizer has written extensively against the Christian Zionism movement and debates in the programme with Geoffrey Smith of Christian Friends of Israel.

Ss does the Tweb community believe that Jewish people have a special relationship with God (As Smith believes) or has the Abrahamic Covenant been made "obsolete" (as Sizer believes quoting Hebrews)?

No, there is no special plan in regards to Israel as a geopolitical entity. Those Jews who refuse to accept Jesus are at enmity with God in the same way every unbeliever is, and nothing good can come from pretending otherwise.

My friend, I encourage you to listen to the program. Sizer did an excellent job. His opponent, on the other hand, threw out red herrings and testimonials to no end.

What I recommend is when each speaker speaks ask "How does this establish the truth of what is being said?"

I think it'll be clear which speaker does that.
