Tie between Under the cherry moon and purple rain. Purple rain was a cool movie.... but I kind of liked the character he played in under the cherry moon better. And it was funny, too.

You know what my favorite thing about Prince has always been?
His PANTS.
I don't mean that in a sexy way....
he just busted out one day and got famous.... and had those PANTS.
The buttons went diagonally..... they were cut real low at the top.....
like what is in style now.
And he had them in paisley designs, and all kinds of weird stuff. He had the coolest clothes.

Prince movies, in order of preference:

1. Sign O' the Times As stated, a concert movie, at what many consider the zenith of his career.
2. Purple Rain Two words: Apollonia Kotero. And the comedic bits with Morris Day and Jerome Benton weren't bad, either.
3. Under the Cherry Moon Prince as a highly-paid gigolo in the South of France-- yeah, I believe it. Still, it had its moments.
4. Graffiti Bridge The Purple One at his most craptacular. Not even Morris and Jerome's antics, or the presence of funk pioneer George Clinton, could save this waste of celluloid.

:jade:, who grudgingly likes "Raspberry Beret" and couldn't care less for the rest of Prince's body of work, fails to see why women are attracted to Prince. (In fact, she's grossed out by him.)

I think women who are attracted to Prince (or to, at least, what Prince once was) are the type who like bad boys and think that through a romantic relationship can tame them. (The downside to this is, if said taming is ever effective [and it rarely is], once the bad boy is tamed, he loses most of what made him attractive in the first place.) Odd thing is, :jade: is just this sort, although she has yet to fully tame me. :eh:
