Jesus, I wanna be just like you!
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” (John 1:6 – 1:9)
There is a man sent from God, whose name is Gary, Gary came as a witness, to be witness about the Light, that all might believe through Gary’s story. Gary is not the Light, but came only to tell his story about what the Light means to him. Jesus, who is the True Light, which enlightens everyone, IS STILL in the world.
There is no greater story in the entire world then your Jesus story! The neat thing about your Jesus story is it does not need to begin on the mountain top of victory but in the valley of defeat. Take the Apostle Paul’s story while he was still Saul killer of Christians. Your Jesus story does not need to come from a Nobel Prize winning Author nor does it need to be perfect it only needs to be genuine.
Your Jesus story is unique is as unique as you are. One of reasons diamonds are so valuable is because of their rarity. The value of your Jesus story is by far rarer and more valuable then the Hope Diamond!
You don’t need to shout your Jesus story from a mountain top, you don’t need to publish it with Barnes and Noble, you don’t need to make it into a block buster movie; you only need to whisper it to someone whose life is filled with hopelessness and emptiness.
YOU ARE an Eyewitness to the Light of Jesus and his greatest desire is for you to make a difference in another’s life by telling them your Jesus story. Jesus may be the Light – but you are the house that contains the Light! Let it shine!
