I know the kid's been around a while, but I just discovered him. I posted a coupla months ago that the secular radio station we get piped into my office was playing the Christian song, "I Can Only Imagine," by Mercy Me (Thanks, Cirisme, for telling me who the artist was - I've now downloaded everything I can find by them).
I figured it was a rare thing to hear a Christian song on secular radio. Well, this morning, the same station played a song by Josh Groban called, "You Raise Me Up," from his new cd which is going to be released November 11 (called "Closer"). The guy's voice is so very captivating (one of the women I work with was convinced it was Andrea Bocelli), we all just stopped to listen to it. I immediately went on his website (http://www.joshgroban.com/) and advance-ordered the cd.
I think you can listen to some of the music on the website and even buy a special internet edition for way to much $.
I'd be interested to know if anyone is as impressed as I am.
