You DO realize that, in time, this puppy will turn into a DOG, right?
<grin>
Congratulations on your new family member.

Here's another one. Huckleberry is the golden one, Kayla is the other dachshund, and Abigail is obvious.
Huckleberry still isn't sure what to make of her, he calls her (and yes, we give our dogs voices and have them have conversations) either "the bear" or "the devil dog".

No, the joy of puppies is in being there, not just looking at pictures. We are, maybe I should speak for myself, glad for your puppy joy.

Nicholas,

Our family is enjoying her greatly. She is extremely playful, although she seems to like chewing on my toes and fingers a lot. She's also learning how to play fetch.

Nice looking puppy, but I was wondering what happened to your pup's tail?

Nothing, it just looks short because she's moving in some of the pictures and the tail was probably wagging while she was running.

That's typical of Labs in general, Nich, so you may as well get used to it. I have some friends who have a Lab, and whenever I go over there, I'm her favourite chew toy. She doesn't actually use her teeth, but she's always coming over to my chair and taking my arm in her mouth for attention. She'll hold it and nuzzle for a while and then let go, but she'll be back again a few minutes later.
Which leads to this warning: Be sure to keep your puppy well supplied with real chew toys, or she'll find her own. And you're almost certainly going to have to spend a lot of effort teaching her the difference between her chew toys and everything-which-is-not-a-chew-toy. It's one of the main difficulties with Labs, especially when young. They're extremely loving and fun to play with -- and they want a lot of playing -- but they can chew up a house and its furnishings faster than an army of termites if you don't make the effort to teach them what they're allowed to chew on.

labs are great! I had one who thought he was a lap dog. he weighed about 90 pounds! His name was Truck. His brother's name was Tonka. Truck was the best running partner I ever had! and he was great with the kids too. but sadly, he died, and I've had a hard time finding another dog. We tried a couple cocker spaniels, but they just didn't seem like teh right fit. :sigh: I guess I'll keep looking till I find that right dog for me.
She's a nice looking pup! Enjoy her!
