A Gym debate thread is opened to debate the following issue:

Jesus Really Existed in History.

Kabane52 will be defending the affirmative and HELLBOY will be defending the negative. This debate will begin as soon as Kabane makes his first post. The debate will last 5 rounds.

This debate is taking place here (http://www.theologyweb.com/campus/showthread.php?p=2669252#post2669252), and this thread is opened for the commentary on the debate. The debate participants may not participate in this thread until their debate is concluded.

I fully expect Kabane to devour this guy. It's almost unfair.

Reborn, I now expect a wholesale evisceration of HELLBOY.

I do too, but I'd wager that HELLBOY will end up denying it.

Where's the beef?

I'm waiting with baited breath for the first post......

Baited.

While your debate with Kabane52 is still active, participating in the debate discussion thread is not allowed.

Yeah, based on HB's posts that I've seen, Kabane is going to slaughter this guy. It's not a fair fight.

Definitely.

However, I doubt it's gonna be anything near the "Andre the Giant vs Paralyzed Comatose Rubber Chicken" that Spacefoetus vs MikeWright was.

People who participate in the debate aren't allowed to post in the commentary thread.

Btw, it looks quite surreal that Kabane now has 3 debates at the same time! How does he manage that? Shouldn't he be reading tons and tons and tons of books for his new project (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zySLd7_IuLM)?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of options for Hellboy.

Either
a) Bring up Justin Martyr and Tertullian quotes and say they prove Christianity was stolen (I had this done to me a few days ago)
b) Change the topic to Jesus' divinity
c) Desperately bring up the pagan myths anyway.

I decided to take a look at said debate:
Well, Spacefoestus has agreed to be shredded to pieces in this debate and I suspect me winning is a foregone conclusion. Anyway, lets watch him loose. He says he is getting his arguments from christian philosophers, well i'm getting my argumens from some of the greatest thinkers of all times: Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Bertrand Russell, Robert Price, Sam Harris, Brian Sapient etc etc and getting my facts from reliable sources such as Wikipedia
I'm cringing and ROFLMAOing so hard right now.

I have a hard time believing that someone so damnably stupid could even function in real life, maybe if he's on welfare?

The only other option I can think of is an otherwise normal person who, when it comes to the topic of Christianity, is so blinded with hate and/or anger that he loses all ability to think rationally about it.

It's basically the transcript from his video series.

By the way, is there a way that, when you watch youtube-videos, the comment section is automatically hidden? I often feel like I have to take a bath after reading this garbage.

Not unless it's your own video.

Just don't look at it. You can't see it when you are watching the actual video unless you scroll down.

The trolling that goes on at YT, particularly against Christians, is so absurdly ignorant, venomous, and ugly that I often wonder how these people get through life and how they interact with other people. But then I realize it's the internet -- a whole different world.

To the Kabane Fan Club,

I will be answering these claims in a more in-depth fashion than this format will allow, here:

You should get out your proverbial 'notebooks' and take notes!

Should read: Kabane has great videos, but when I read in the comment-sections, sometimes it's so stupid that it burns.

Has anyone checked out Richard Rodriguez's site christianpwnage.blogspot.com? HELLBOY looks very intelligent compared to Rodriguez, in my opinion. The site basically consists of a bunch of atheist vs theist debates, and it is always said that the atheist has won. With the exception of the Jeff Lowder vs Phil Fernandes debate, though, the theist, not the atheist, has actually won each time.

Also, there are comments on that blog, saying things like "Dan Barker is one of my favorite debaters" and "Chris Hitchens destroys Todd Friel on his own show" and "Bart Ehrman made Dr. Craig look like a fool." To make a long story short...they didn't.
