Tomorrow morning at 6am(!), I will be appearing in a pre-recorded “debate” on the Unbelievable Radio Program hosted by Justin Brierley which is aired on the Premiere Christian Network across the pond. I do not yet know when the program will be aired, but when it is, I will post a link. However, here is the link to their website (http://www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable) and to their iTunes subscription page (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=267142101). The show is very good, so don’t wait to listen until my appearance airs, subscribe now.
More information is over at The Preterist Blog. (http://www.preteristblog.com/?p=3426)

The recording is done, and I think it went very well. Like always, I did the mush-mouth tongue twist at the beginning due to nerves, but once I settled down I was fine. It was a very amicable discussion. I didn't intend to do this, meaning I didn't plan it, but at the very end I think I got in a really pointed question to Pastor Terry that he didn't expect. He was very gracious in acknowledging that he will take it to heart. Andrew, the liberal Christian, was quite charming, and I was delighted to find that he is no slouch. Unlike most of my hyperpreterist critics, Andrew actually knew what my position was and was familiar with my work. Pastor Terry was asked on the show at the last minute and wouldn't have time to have read my commentary or anything really substantive, but he was familiar with my position writ large.
There was so much I wanted to rebut! So I took notes, and Justin will be sending me the raw file so that I can do some further explanation on my podcast. That means I have to finally finish up on that rebuttal to Frost.

Oh, and I was ENTHRALLED by their accents!! It was funny because after we were done recording, Justin used some British idiom, and I had to say, "I'm sorry, but I don't know what you are saying." LOL.

bumping to make sure everyone has subscribed to the feed
I have listened to four past episodes today... not only are the accents enchanting (and make me feel smarter just by listening to them), the shows are really good
Justin, honestly, I felt really bad for that sincere lady who had that pie-in-the-sky view of Sharia.

Yes. I make it a point to listen to this program every Sunday generally. I won't be able to this Sunday because I'll be out of town, but I assure you DDW and you as well Justin that I'll be listening to it sometime in the week. I definitely want to hear this.

Do preterists also consider Mt 13:40-43 as a reference to the fall of Jerusalem?
Because it seems to me that it's clearly a reference to the second coming and the language in that passage seems to be very, very similar to other passages that preterists interpret as refering to the fall of Jerusalem.

Do you mean Mark? If so, yes the parallel passages of Luke 21 and Mark 13 are the same event as Matthew 24.

thank you! I will be doing a followup on my own podcast to address the things that we just did not have time for.
I have another radio appearance next Monday that I will post details on in my forum area. If anyone knows any other shows that might be interested let me know. Note though I will not appear with a hyperpreterist or on a show hosted by a hyperpreterist.

Oh I see, it is an ongoing event much like Matthew 25.So it started in the first century and has been ongoing for the last two thousand years?
That doen't seem to work in my opinion, since it's clear in v. 40 that it's supposed to happen at the end of the world (literally "the ages" of course).
Is it appropriate to take these questions to the Eschatology forum?

Hi Mus, that is a theist-only area. Unfortunately, right now I am going through an unpleasant divorce (is there any other kind?) and am a bit dodgy about being reliable to participate in threads. I am trying to keep track of things to answer in a future podcast.
