At the end of the year 666 of "Julian time", was the beginning of the year 622 A.D., which was the year when the founder of Islam, Mohammed, settled from Mekka to Medina, and this is the year "one" of the Islamic calendar, so calculating the Islamic year (Yi) from the "Julian" year (Yj) is: Yi = Yj - 666


We all know that the dome of the rock sits in the place of the old temple. We all know that Allah is the god that is worshipped in this temple. We all know that the "false prophet "Mohammed" proclaimed Allah to be "god". We all know that Christ has been acknowledged as a man but denied as the Christ by this religion.

The main "religion" that surounds Israel is Islam. She is surrounded by her enemies. It is in the name of Allah that the rest of the nations surrounding her want to see her die. Why is it so difficult to believe that the anti-christ and the false prophet are Mohammed and Allah? Why is it so difficult to believe that the war that will kill 200 millionpeople couldn't occur in the middle east? There are more than enough Musslim to make up that number in that area.

For some crazy reason, my father believes that Arafat is probably the Antichrist, and anticipates him appearing to be killed in the near future, and then quickly reappearing as if raised from the dead. He partly bases this on the 7-year treaty Arafat had with Israel, from what I understand. (He's pretty sensible, otherwise, though...) :wink:

This is false, except for a few score of years right around 622 AD. The Islamic calendrical year is only about 354.33 (the 1/3 is due to 11 leap-years during a 30-year cycle), as opposed to 365.25 (about) for a solar year. This means that for about every 31 years or so, the Islamic calendar "catches up" a year on the solar calendar.

For example, right now it is the year 1424 AH in the Islamic calendar, and 2003 - 1424 is 579, not 666.
