Six months after young, liberal activists helped lead the popular movement that ousted President Hosni Mubarak, the hard core of these protesters was forcibly dispersed by the troops. Some Egyptians lined the street to applaud the army. Others ganged up on the activists as they retreated from the square that has come to symbolize the Arab Spring.

I'm so glad Foreign Policy Living God Barack Obama backstabbed a loyal ally who oppressed his people and pave the way for a hated enemy who will also oppress his people. I'm sure this will turn out to be a net win for humanity. :thumb:

It's Egypt.
This would have happened no matter who gained power in the end
not because of whether or not the revolution was good or bad, right or wrong
but simply because that's always been the case in Egypt, and probably always will
the revolutionaires weren't really keen on giving freedom of speech to mubarak's supporters,
and the people who still support mubarak (whether they are right, or wrong) pretty much keep quiet for their own safety
It's how it was, and is, and always will be over there.
