It's obviously intended as a sunchisomorphism.

"Out of the wringer, into the dryer
Spins the clothes higher
Squeezing out static and shocks
Little stockings tumbling 'round together
Couldn't cling forever
Now I'm missing one of my socks

Lord, where do they go?

One pile waits with their god in a box
The other pile nervously mocks heaven
Misfits lost in the dryer, take heart
Maybe there's a place up in sock heaven"

- Steve Taylor, Sock Heaven

Socks go to heaven?

I think not.

A machismo-what? :eh:

Is that when someone transforms into a sexy, Latin lover?

If God is a sock, does that make him a pediaphile?

(please read this one carefully, the spelling is intentional)

Long story short:

DDW forced me to pick an avatar (I was known for never having one), so I decided to never pick a gender for the site.

I see. Then, your title line sort of blows your cover.......

P.S. I would like to know what DD did to make you get an AV. I might need that information some day.....

No - that would be Shaqiramogrification.

I'm talking about sunchisomorphism. Think anthropomorphism but with socks.

But endless theological debates dull the mind to true religion, Queenie. Christmas is all about the eternal doctrinal truth of the incarnation, don't you know!

Take a look at the picture- the guy is barefoot! His feet are kinda raw and ragged looking. I think he's trying to say that to him, a sock would be like God is to us!

That's almost exactly what I thought when I saw the picture. I saw it as a reference to verses like Matt. 25:40: And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing socks or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
- Matthew 25.44 (Living Bible)

Of course, in the photo, 'God' is the Comforter of Needs rather than the Needy Neighbour.
