Meet Shiro!

We haven't said much about it, but several months ago, when the Princess and I were looking for an apartment, we were visiting one we had interest in that happened to have a stray cat living there that its previous owners had abandoned. The Mrs. does not normally like cats, but this one somehow crawled into her heart.

When we later returned, we found out they were going to call the pound the next day to take him away.

We took him instead.

Today, he happily lives with us. He's a Turkish-Angora Mix. Consider him the Deeper Waters mascot. His name is Shiro, the Japanese word for white.

Can't imagine why she wanted that name for him.

Judging by those two pictures I note that this cat is making clever use of gravity to keep himself firmly anchored to that chair.
