So, what do you think about the polls this early in the year in College Basketball?

I think they are a lot of fun and give impetus for trying to be good even early in the year.

I also think UConn is going to come out on top as the best team this year, but who knows what will happen in the tourney?

I dunno.

I like stats like that and all, but I think too much weight is given to public opinion in sports. At least BB does it right and has a solid playoff system. :thumb:

especially in basketball when a few players changed can alter the entire team, early season rankings are just (educated) guesswork. But that's what makes them so much fun usually  and i agree March madness is good stuff, with the massive upsets, the cinderellas as well as dominant teams rounding into shape. But this is all coming from a lover of all sports.

How else can we drum up excitement this early in the season?
