Ok everyone we will be having a Theology web chat tonight
so drop in to our very own Tweb chat, just click the chat button up top and come say hello
It's tonight 8pm EST 6th January

and did you know that you can use the chat anytime day or night?
well you can, grab a friend or someone you would like to get to know more from the board and start chatting today!!!

The Tweb chat is a text only chat and you do not need to download anything unless your java is not up to date then you will need to download java but most peoples should be ok.

so I hope to see you there :thumb:

Hard for me to make PalTalks. If the wife is home she wants me to spend time with her. Go figure :mossrose:

If she is away, or asleep is the only time I can usually make it.

By the way. As much as I love you guys. If it is a choice between you and quality time with Mrs. Faramir.

Guess what I am going to pick......

can we not have a chat whenever, to paraphrase something I seem to have heard, two or three gather together in Tweb's chat room?

January 6th 2004, 02:20 AM
what was the secret of getting it to work Bob for those who couldn't get in?

Bob Jenkins
January 6th 2004, 02:24 AM
Downloading the correct java run time enviroment. The first time I tried it turned out to be an 88MB file that included way more that was needed.

I'll get and post the web page and the file name I used (as soon as I find it again)

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

The file is under the heading "Download J2SE v 1.4.2_03"

"32-bit/64-bit for Windows/Linux/Solaris SPARC
32-bit for Solaris x86 " is the line item under that heading

Click "download" under the column JRE

A new page will come up that requires to accept the license agreement Click accept and continue

On the next page displayed, I choose "Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language (j2re-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p.exe, 14.52 MB)"

The download window appears and it should be easy sailing from here on though it will take some time.

In my Control Pane, Options I have cookies enabled in both logon and browse
