I have caught myself a number of times saying "Democrat" when I really meant "Liberal".
I'm wondering, though, if this distinction is disappearing.
I have known quite a few older Democrats, who were really quite conservative, and can't seem to face the fact that their party has long ago abandoned them.
While I still think there's a difference between "Democrat" and "Liberal", I wonder how many CONSERVATIVE Democrats are still around. Particularly in high profile places.
Have "Democrat" and "Liberal" become pretty much the same?
