Association Football, how quaint.

22 grown men getting paid far too much for kicking a plastic ball around a flat meadow.

Btw lego, who won?

Plastic?

Personally, I'll take any of the games with an oblate spheroid over soccer, but I'm still a Man U fan deep down. And when the US gets its act together on soccer, we'll kick the world's butt on that same as we do on everything else (we're already in the top ten).

And as for the game, it's not scheduled until April 5, so I don't really see what the guy with the girly blond hair is talking about. It's at Old Trafford, and Liverpool already lost to the Reds at home, so the outcome is frankly a foregone conclusion.

No they won't. All they'll do is start a home league, invite Canada to join, and call it the World Series.

Either that, or they'll carpet bomb the other half of the pitch, send cruise missiles into the dressing rooms, and go in in full body armour.

Didn't they win 3 cups a while ago? And the UEFA Cup?

C'mon You Red!

Don't both teams play in red?

Typical Man U fan. Not actually in Manchester.

I think he was talking about the Worthington Cup Final, which Liverpool won.

Anyway, we all know that the best teams play in black and white stripes.

Yeah, but by comparison with Man U, their trophy case is a little empty.

Yeah, but "C'mon You Red" is an "official" MU cheer.

Can't argue with that.

No, he was specifically talking about the Premier League. I wouldn't have known about the WC, though; sports sites I check don't even mention it.

No, the best team plays in red. Unfortunately, it's Arsenal.

They lost yesterday. Perhaps there is a God after all?

Only two points difference at the top of the table! Getting interesting. And gooner, check the posts more carefully, I am not an Arsenal fan. Although I'm from London, my family is from the other side of the city (East Ham), so my family loyalties lie elsewhere. Which doesn't explain why I'm a Man U fan.

So let's see...Man U 4 Liverpool 0 (and a sending off to boot), and Arsenal tie to bring Man U into a tie for first in the Premiership. O happy day!

Nice to know there's more than one of us here.

Now, we just need for Fergie and Beckham to bury the hatchet...

Quite. Reconciliation's always a good thing.

But to be honest, I'm not totally bothered if Beckham does go. I'm not saying that we wouldn't miss him, but it's always been Fergie's policy to sell players that for whatever reason unhinge team morale. I don't think Beckham's been that effective this season, and although I think it would be hard to replace him, it's entirely possible we'll find someone else to do a similar job.

Who, though, I've no idea!
