In Matthew 21:13, (referring to the temple) "Jesus said, It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer'…”
In Matthew 23:38 he said, “See, your house is left to you desolate.”
Just one verse further on in the text we are informed, Jesus left the temple and was going away when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” (Matthew 24:1-2).
In John’s version, referring to the selling of pigeons in the temple, Jesus said, "Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade…” so the Jews said to him “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you will raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking of the temple of his body (John 2:16-21).
Jesus is himself the replacement of the Old Testament Temple.
As his Body on earth, the Church is God’s Temple on earth.

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 6:19, Do you [plural in the Greek text] not know that your [plural] body [singular] is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you [plural], whom you have from God?
In Revelation 21:22, John wrote, "And I saw no temple in the city [the New Jerusalem], for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb [Jesus]."
Paul wrote to the Ephesians (2:19-21), "So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
There is much speculation re a rebuilding of an OT Temple. Jesus and the NT Apostles & Prophets are all quite unanimous in focusing on only one Temple subsequent to AD 70.
