A couple of months ago, some ransomware was discovered actually attempting to uninstall a user's antimalware program before delivering its payload. Malware is getting scary these days... :uneasy:

Android devices ship with pre-installed malware
When you get a brand new phone, you expect it to be clean from any malware and adware. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. The Avast Threat Labs has found adware pre-installed on several hundred different Android device models and versions, including devices from manufacturers like ZTE, Archos, and myPhone

Just don't buy some cheap knock-off that is not google certified. I have never had any malware on my iphone.
