According to a study conducted by City University of New York and published in the Jewish Week, 1.4 million Jews say they are Jewish by birth but now identify with another faith, usually Christianity. That’s about one–quarter of the Jewish population of the U.S. Another quarter say they are secular and have no religion, leaving 51 percent of Jews in America claiming Judaism as their religion.

gee,
That is ALMOST as bad as the Western European Catholics where church membership and attendence is now @ 20%.

There seems to have been a falling away beginning @ the time of the historical period we call The Enlightenment.

As the scientific age testifies, the "awakening" of human consciousness in regard to the logical/mathematical mind reinforces the idea that, indeed, man is growing evermore conscious. The emergence of our Superego was the basis for predicting all the social changes we read about in Revelation.

Make no mistake, the Unconscious Mind has long been a silent observer of our collective behavior, and a genetically reproduced memory of our family's vine from which we have flowered. The expected second coming will be a twinkle that changes us all, in the kingdom within our skull.
