Maybe you can't legally DRIVE that fast, but surely somebody would let you ride with them, so you could "go" fast. :smug:

Yeah, but it would only ever get that fast when we are traveling. Which is only twice a year, not even sure we go that fast then.

If you lived in Texas, you'd be hooked on speed too. Who wants to drive for three days just to get to the next town?

They have non-alcholic beer too. I was never much of a drinker to begin with though. A mug of beer would last me an entire evening and still be half full.

Even at 85mph it will still take all day to drive across Texas, so here is some driving music for CP. 10 Hours worth... of....

I've legally driven in excess of 130 mph. And done the same illegally as well (actually closer to 130 and not in excess of). That's cause I'm a rogue. :smug:

I drove across Nebraska once, and the speed limit is 60 or 65 most of the way. I thought we were NEVER going to get where we were going.

We used to drive from north central Texas to northwest Indiana. The speed limit in Indiana was 55. The 'joke' was that 1/3 of our trip was in Texas and 1/3 was in Indiana.

Ever driven the 15 freeway between Vegas and San Bernardino? You'll get run down if you're going any slower than 80-85.

I drive a school bus, and the engine has a governor set to 50. I hate driving it on the freeway anywhere.

Well, here in Montana, we didn't even have speed limits* until recently.

*Technically it was "reasonable and prudent", but was struck down by the MT Supreme Court as being too vague.

I was watching "Revolution" yesterday, which takes place after the world has been knocked back to the 19th century after all the electricity stopped working.

They were in Texas and were walking by an old sign that said "Speed Limit 85" :hehe:
