Locks without wine
Woman not of mine
The blind doing the pulling
was my undoing.

Who am I?

He would have been the one doing the pulling...

themuzicman
February 14th 2004, 03:52 PM
He was also blind at the time.... (Yes, Sampson is correct)

themuzicman
February 14th 2004, 04:11 PM
OK, let me get out the 'HARD' category....

My power could not defend a friend
From a law that would put him to an end
But God saw him through the night
And I rejoiced with the first light.

Who am i?

Korah!!!!

:rithumb:

I know because I and the GODISNOWHERE ministry is aquainted with a cool Christian emo band here in Denver called S.O.K., which stands for Sons of Korah.

Korah was wicked and rebelled against God in the wilderness. But some of his male descendents rebelled against their own ancestor's wickedness, and went on to author some wonderful Psalms! But little is known of them... They apparently sought no glory for themselves in this ministry.

Xavier
February 16th 2004, 10:03 PM
Emo... :shifty:

themuzicman
February 16th 2004, 11:06 PM
Err.. not who I was thinking of...

truthman
February 16th 2004, 11:06 PM
I think that both answers can be right

Both saw miracles right? One of Paul, the other of Christ. And, they both fled naked.

truthman

themuzicman
February 16th 2004, 11:08 PM
True. I can't fault your answer, other than it was one person, not seven, but your answer was original. 1/2 point each.

truthman
February 16th 2004, 11:08 PM
Also, Joseph ran naked from Potiphar's house, didn't he? And he saw miracles too.

truthman
February 17th 2004, 08:21 PM
MM, I know that Enoch is not who you were thinking of, however, in Genesis 4 is the genealogy of Enoch.

Enoch's descendant in 4:20 was Jabal, his sons had cattle as mentioned by same verse
Enoch's descendant in 4:21 was Jubal, the father of all who play harp and organ
Enoch's descendant in 4:22 was Tubalcain, the instuctor of every artificer in brass and iron

You gotta admit, that's very close to your question!

themuzicman
February 18th 2004, 09:09 AM
Yes, Enoch was close, but What does verse 19 say?

truthman
February 18th 2004, 10:05 AM
Are you telling me that I was off by one generation?

truthman Lamechs, I mean laments, his previous decision.

themuzicman
February 19th 2004, 05:16 PM
No guess, truthman?

Xavier
February 19th 2004, 05:19 PM
Elijah?

Mujibur
February 19th 2004, 05:21 PM
David prayed for Saul?
1 Samuel 23:10-13
10 David said, "O LORD , God of Israel, your servant has heard definitely that Saul plans to come to Keilah and destroy the town on account of me. 11 Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me to him? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? O LORD , God of Israel, tell your servant."
And the LORD said, "He will."
12 Again David asked, "Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men to Saul?"
And the LORD said, "They will."
13 So David and his men, about six hundred in number, left Keilah and kept moving from place to place. When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he did not go there.

But I guess this was not in Saul's presence and it wasn't praying 'for' Saul but rather about Saul so it would not count.

truthman
February 19th 2004, 05:23 PM
no guess this time, MM, I'm stumped
