I know he's not very popular with some on here, but let's put all that aside for now. He's currently in a coma with a blood clot in the brain.

"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard RavenhillTags: None

Norman Geisler has passed away.
http://normangeisler.com/The fact that science cannot make any pronouncement about ethical principles has been misinterpreted as indicating that there are no such principles; while in fact the search for truth presupposes ethics. - Karl Popper, 1987

Despite his feud with Licona and others recently, I still had a lot of respect for Dr. Geisler as a scholar and apologist. A few of his books were the first ones I got as a new Christian wanting to learn apologetics. And now he and the others don't have a chance to make amends, and that is sad.

I recommend you do not try too hard and ...research as little as possible. Such weighty things give me a headache. - Shunyadragon, Baha'i apologist

He was the first scholar I came across when I got into apologetics. The book I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist was one of the very first books I read that shook me out of my Agnosticism/Atheism. I recently got his book When Skeptics Ask and now finishing it up. I didn't agree with some of his Theology given I am more Reformed. Despite that, he was a great defender of the faith who was very knowledgeable of the issues and was able to convey them for the common person to understand.
