This morning I woke up with just two lines from a song going through my head over and over again. Normally this would really annoy me, but today it made me think. The lines were "Every moment that I live and breath, this moment made for worshiping". Yesterday on my way home from work, when I heard these song lines, I thought 'yeah, I do that'. When things are going good I thank God and when they are not I either praise God that He is with me through the tough times, or I otherwise let Him know how I feel.
This morning, as I was getting ready for work, it hit me the song says every moment, not just the good or the bad. I don't do that; I don't worship God in the mundane, day-to-day things, like brushing my teeth, taking a shower, washing the dishes, or stubbing my toe. So I prayed to God that I would start doing this. Then God put it on my heart to let others know, don't just worship God in the good and the bad times, but do it in every moment, in every way, and in every situation. If you are brushing your teeth, praise God for the tooth paste; if someone says something mean to or about you, even if you deserved it, praise God that through Jesus He made you perfect, and that God doesn't see you the same way that person did.
Maybe you already knew to do this and what I said here was just a reminder, or maybe it is just dawning on you like it did me, but I pray in someway this touched your heart and I praise God that He gave me the words to say what I felt He put on my heart.
