I would like to share with all our you something that is really going to bring the truth of I Thessalonians 5:17-
"....pray continually.....
Just a short verse, but oh, what a command!
I have mentioned in past posts that we will be having a guest evangilist coming to our church, 3 weeks prior to Easter this year. His name is Carl Harris, & you would be hard pressesd to find a man more "on-fire" for the Lord! The roof of our church was, (metaphorically speaking), blown off, when he visited us last year!
(Sorry, I get so excited sometimes! )
Anyway: This year, a week prior to his coming, we are going to be having a 24/7 prayer chain going on at our church, for the entire week! Our church will be open 24/7! And, (aside from our pastoral staff), who will be the point men during this time-us Berean students!
God is calling us like we never could have believed! This is where we truely begin to see what Paul was talking about: ""pray unceasingly" What does the Bible say about Believers praying? Acts 4:31-"After they had prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with Holy Spirit, & spoke the Word of God boldly.
I pray, my dear brothers & sisters in Christ, that this would excite all of you, even as it does me! THE PLACE WAS SHAKEN! The was a supernatural happening that happened! When God hears the prayers of His people, BOY-DOES HE EVER ANSWER!
But even more than that, (not to mention BETTER!): what was the result of that prayer? They "spoke the word of God BOLDLY!"
Pastor wants all of us, who are going to be involved in this prayer chain, to also record any impressions, thoughts, ect, that we may have during this time as well! I know that ever since I joined ****, I have seen many of you receive a WORD, or a vision. Oh, how I have prayed that the Lord would work in me like that, sometimes! Yet: we do know the prophecy of Joel, as mentioned in Acts 2:16-18. It is happening right here at ****! GOD IS MOVING, MY BROTHERS & SISTERS! As it was true around the time of Pentecost, so true is it today, & I don't doubt that it will be true for us as well!
Look at the kind of articles, & posts here at ****! GOD IS MOVING! We can see it!
What does Scripture say about the prayer of a Believer? James 5:16-"The prayer of a righteous man availith much." Look at how we have been praying here at ****! And have we ever seen answers to our prayers! But is this because we really mean something to God? You had better believe it!
WE ARE HIS CHILDREN! WE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY THE CREATOR OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! What happens when Believers pray-God hears us! And there is no greater power in the entire universe!
God moved when Carl Harris was here last year. But this year, we are turning to the Lord as never before. With both fasting & prayer, we have absolutly NO DOUBT that God IS going to move in a bigger way than we ever could have imagined! It has happened here at ****! And we see absolutly NO REASON, why all of us involved in this prayer chain, won't be just as touched by, (as a church body), by God's hearing us, why we won't see such blessings & miracles as we have been seeing here, & as great as the early church experienced well!
I know of a song that is entitled-"WHEN GOD'S PEOPLE PRAY." When God's people pray, GOD MOVES, my brothers & sisters! GOD MOVES!
Let us pray!
"Heavenly Father: we praise & sing with songs of joy & adoration to You! We praise You most Holy Name, for the miracles that are hppening all over the world, & especially here at Your website as well! This IS YOUR website Heavenly Father! You were the driving force behind it, & we sing joyfully for the miracles that we have seen here, glorifying Your Holy Name! We have seen how You move, when Your children pray! We have seen it! Heavenly Father, we know that these are indeed the last days! It was no accident that this movie, "THE PASSION", has come out when it did! YOU ARE ready to move as never before! We can see it coming, Lord Jesus! We can see it coming! We ask that You move us to pray beyond anything that we have before, Holy Spirit! We ask that we become true people of prayer, so that we may see Your mighty hand work through each one of us, so that, in Your power, we will save a world! In Your Power, Lord Jesus! In Your Power, Heavenly Father! In Your power alone, Lord God! In Your Power alone! We ask this in the name of Your Son, our Savior-Jesus Christ!"
