A similie is a comparison using "like" or "as."
Similies can be simple, complex or epic.
Simple: "Our love is like a red, red rose."
Complex: "He sat as a barnacle riding dry above the keel, dying in the summer sun, needing something substantial to fill the hull and plunge it beneath the water."
Epic similies are complex similies found in epic poetry, and usually have some reference to classical literature. I will not belabor that kind of similie here.
A simile has two parts, the "tenor" and the "vehicle."
"Your nose is like a goblet"
The tenor is that which is being described ("Your nose"), the vehicle is that object that is being used as the point of comparison ("a goblet").
Anyway, here is how this game works. I will start with a similie, and you (the players) will respond with a similie that uses a component of the prior vehicle as the tenor.
Example:
Poster 1: Grass is like a wire brush
Poster 2: A wire brush is soft as steel wool
Poster 3: Steel wool is as flamable as flatulence
etc.
The funny thing to do is to take a random tenor, and follow the list down to compare to some vehicle (i.e. grass is as flammable as flatulence).
Okay, here it goes:
DDW is like a dislecsic lemming.
