View Full Version : Time Runs Out For Jude3b

This is a last-ditch effort to alert Jude3b that the window for his participation in the Tennis Court thread is quickly dwindling.
Jude3b, if you're reading this, please show that you have integrity by posting your part of the discussion in the tennis court. I put a lot of effort into this, including the expenditure of my own funds to see to it that spl_cadet got his own copy of the book we're discussiong.
This will be my last effort to goad you. I've already announced a deadline for participation in the sign-up sheet thread. If you're not going to follow through on your commitment (a commitment you made freely), then I will have the thread closed.

I'm willing to do it and I know right where I can get my hands on the Boettner book. Jude 3b
Just a friendly reminder of the commitment you've made.

He's too busy filling the active page up with his threads. 15 out of the first 50 I just counted.

So I see. At least one of said threads isn't even a discussion: it was started by him, and every subsequent post was by him, as well.
Very well. If this is the way he wants it, so be it. His trolling-- and what else could it be considered at this point?-- will be reported to moderators. In the meantime, I'll give him what benefit of the doubt is left. The deadline is 12:00 AM CST on Tuesday morning (that's less than 24 hours by my reckoning), and if he hasn't made good on his promise by then, the thread will be closed.

What do you want me to do? Am I supposed to read a certain chapter? Post something about it? Jude 3b

You mean you're just now getting the message?!? You were notified by PM the day the Tennis Court thread was started! I provided a link to the thread in the Sign-Up Sheet thread! I've done everything but post an announcement of the thread at the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard."

This is sad, Jude, if you committ to a debate that someone else volunteered to set up and put a lot of work into it, it is pretty cavalier to not pay attention and do your part.

For what it's worth, Jude has since posted to the tennis court thread. It was pretty scant, and I'm giving him an opportunity to expound a bit further on the first subchapter (because I'm just that kinda guy), but one way or another, at midnight CST tonight, the floor is spl_cadet's.

Yes I saw that but I didn't think that was quite what was had in mind or set up for this debate, I was thinking Jude would be more substantive, but carry on, you guys don't need my peanut gallery comments.

We love your peanut gallery comments, Dee Dee!
And, yes, I did have something more substantive in mind from Jude3b. But he can only provide from his storehouse those treasures he has. It's very possible that this is as good as it gets.

Dee Dee, please forgive me. I stayed away from Theology Web for most of a week or two and just got back on yesterday. I did get a copy of Lorain Boettners book this AM and have quickly read chapter one and posted my comments on it. I will start to read the book tonight and give a greater response now that I am aware that this debate is underway.
