Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    No Longer Thirsty…

“As a deer thirsts for streams of water, so I thirst for you, God. I thirst for the living God. When can I go to meet with him?” (Psalm 42:1–2, NCV)

Yesterday as Patti and I made our way along the Abrams Fall Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park we happened to come across a deer standing in the river drinking. I was able to get a picture of her and later back at our cabin I downloaded the picture from our camera and added the first 2 verses of Psalms 42 minus “When can I go to meet with him?” because it was rather obvious the deer was no longer thirsty.

As I looked at the picture it became more than just a picture of a deer standing in a mountain river taking a drink of water it was you and I standing still momentarily in the main stream of life drinking the life giving/sustaining ministry of the Holy Spirit. Unable to complete the walk to the falls a few minutes later we passed where the deer was drinking and it was gone returning to her daily activities.

The most important thing any of us will do today is to obey our thirst for God and step out of our daily activities and take a minute or more stick our head in the life giving/sustaining waters of the Holy Spirit and allow God to give us a drink of the water Jesus talked about in chapter 4 of the Gospel of John. “…Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty. The water I give will become a spring of water gushing up inside that person, giving eternal life.” (John 4:13–14, NCV)

One thing that is no secret and the one thing you can stake your life on as you think about the question “When can I go meet with him?” – Anytime! No appointment necessary!

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
