I am looking for a mainline futurist of the dispensational (mainstream, not Acts9 or 28) to do a Paltalk debate as my opposition on Daniel 9. Any takers?

Too many other issues come into play with an Acts9 or Acts28er. I want to remain pretty focused and deal with what the a large segment of the Church today believes.

 I don't even think anybody here fits that bill, are there any at TWeb who are not Acts9 or 28 who believe that way?

Yeah, but how many are brave enough to take on Dee Dee, queen of TF?
Come on somebody step up to the plate.

AJ and I are going to be having a Daniel 9 discussion in the Tennis Court that will be really good, not a debate. That will be a good complement to Studyhound's Revelation thread and the Matthew 24 thread I have.

Listen I am nowhere near as deadly in verbal debates as written ones, so there is a good chance I may actually <gasp>lose</gasp> if I have a good opponent. Iwant to strengthen my verbal abilities. Come on, the prospect that I may lose a debate should be motivation enough for you to find me an opponent.
I am also willing to do one on Matthew 24. This would not have to be a dispie opponent, just a mainline futurist.

And I reserve the right to refuse any opponent. I want one that I think is pretty good. NO offense, but SirYapAlot need not apply.

OH! I wish someone would step up to the plate! I would love to be there for this! I was taught in this way about Daniel 9 and believed it for quite a while. I'd love to see the two views go head to head.

DeeDee,
Before you do the debate, be sure to read Chapter 3 of I Want to be Left Behind.

I have read it, thank you. I am going to be taking some notes from it.

If I had the time, I'd take you up on my views of Daniel 9, but I need to majorly start finishing the Redesign of my site (http://tests2.ancient-paths.net/) (yeah, i know it's not much yet) and finish updating 2 of my articles.

Dee Dee, I have known Ted since he was born so am reasonably sure I don't fit the bill, since I'm not a dispie. I admire your efforts. Are all the dispensationalists dead or converted? I'd like to see a good debate on that.

Does a progressive dispie count and are you still open for a debate? Plus I am not sure you can take my view of Daniel 9. There is no 70th week of Daniel. I am still futurist though and as my name implies a PREWRATH position.

It is not that I can't "take it" - it is that I want to debate a majority position/popular position in the church thus my desire for a mainline dispie.

I'd love to see you debate a mid to latter Acts dispensationalist, but you are correct, too many issues to deal with.

Time for an avatar :)
I forgot about this thread. I have wanted to do a verbal debate for quite some time on this or Matthew 24. I have never done a structured verbal debate and want the experience, and am nowhere near as proficient (if I may fool myself to think I am proficient) in verbal as I am in writing.

wow...how did all these views come up? I got lost in all the dispensationalism....Its funny that the early Church fathers and even those in the days of Reformation never followed beliefs structured in such a way.
