Okay, I'll tell you the story.
A few years ago (and this is all true- I am not making it up), my husband and I were having problems, and we stopped one day at a gas station. He got out and went inside, and this girl shouted something at him- kinda mean-like. When he came out, she walked past the car, and said, "you can do wayyyy better than that thing, honey!!", and when I asked him what was up, he said he didn't know her. I thought maybe they "knew" each other or something, and I wasn't gonna let someone take ME for a fool, so I got out of the car, went over to her, and said, ""scuse, me, ya mind repeating yourself? How do you know my husband? Ya got a problem??"
And she looked at me, all shocked, and said, "oh, I'm sorry... no it's nothing like that. You see, I saw YOU with him, and I thought, "What's a fine thang like that doing with a guy likehim?" and gave me that wierd, lovesick grin.
My face immediately turned beet red, and I said, "Oh! Uh... er.... OH!!!!! Okay.... well.. uh...hey...er... thanks!" and I RAN back to the car as fast as I could. I thought I was gonna hafta throw down at that gas station, and instead, I got hitted on by a girl. Hehe I was so embarrassed, I felt sooo stupid. My husband almost peed his pants when I told him, and every time we pass by that gas station, even to this day, he always cracks up laughing, and goes, "Hey, Amy, remember that gas station? Yeah, That's where you found true love!!"
He thinks it's funny.... but I don't so much.

Workin', of course! I was a radio DJ in Japan before I moved here to Denver. Mostly did morning radio (the most fun!) but also did a lunchtime show for while, and an afternoon rush hour show for a while, too. :cool:

My specialty was the character voices. I had regular characters on my show that people actually thought were real. :teeth:

No, I didn't take it to mean anything bad. It is just that I have had friends who have told me that I should do thus and such, and it just doesn't fly with me anymore. For instance, I have been wearing a lot of vintage clothing lately. People have been asking me, "what's with the new look?" The fact of the matter, it is not about the look, but about the fact that I have needed new clothes for a while, and my roomate and I found a thrift store that has been clearing out its inventory at 50-60% off. I needed clothes, they were cheap there--everything worked out dandy. I just think that people are too concerned with lookism.
