The Reality of God is written in his relationship with you…
“He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. I am of the earth, and my understanding is limited to the things of earth, but he has come from heaven. He tells what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them! Those when believe him discover that God is true.” (*John 3:31 - 3:33 NLT)
I read the following story sometime ago if you are familiar with it please excuse me for making some slight changes in it.
One day a man who’d been a faithful believer for most of his life was told he had only a few days to live. He knew God hadn’t cursed him but he couldn’t figure why God allowed it to happen. A couple days later the man was walking on seashore contemplating why God hadn’t prevented his illness. A few hours later he became angry with God and cursed God. As he turned to leave he noticed a small boy running from the edge of the ocean with a small bucket of water. The disgruntled man watched the boy pour the water into a hole in the sand. Seconds later he ran back to water’s edge for some more water. After several minutes the man walked up to the lad and asked, “May I ask what you’re doing young man?”
Without looking up the boy replied, “I’m putting the ocean into this hole in the sand.”
The man chuckled out loud and replied, “That’s silly young man! You can’t possibly put the entire ocean in that small hole!”
Again without looking up the boy replied, “Neither can you understand God and put him into your finite mind.”
The man indigently turned and walked away. After a few steps he turned to address the boy once more but there was no boy, no hole, no small bucket, the only thing the man could see was the vast ocean.
If you are to understand life with all its perplexities you MUST first understand Jesus for in him resides ALL truth! Viewed with the Light of Jesus what seems to be a curse becomes a blessing; weaknesses become strengths and strengths become weaknesses; brokenness becomes wholeness.
If it seems as if you’re under more pressure than you can handle please remember God has designed the forces nature so that a lump coal over a period time and under tremendous pressure becomes a diamond! And you are far more valuable to God than a lump of coal!
Got pressure? Get Jesus!
