Prayer Request

Not sure how to do this, so I figured I'd post it here. I would be eternally grateful if any prayer warriors out there would add me to their lists. Since December 2003, I have been suffering from a pain that started in my ankle (the doctors thought it was tendonitis) and has moved up my leg and gotten worse and worse and worse. Finally, last Sunay I was stranded on the floor of my apartment, unable to put any weight on my right leg.

I had the Elders over to annoint me with oil and pray over me, and had an EMG (electromyogram, like an EKG but for the muscles in my leg) and an MRI. The doctors have now diagnosed the condition as a large extruded herniated disk between my L3 and L4 vertebrae.

I could specifically use prayer for:
1. Wisdom for the doctors in recommending treatment
2. Wisdom for me and my family in knowing what to do (this may require surgery)
3. Relief from pain
4. No problem from missing work - I am going out on Short Term Disability.

Thanks in advance. The prayer of a righteous man (or woman) is powerful and effective.

Good luck! From what I understand that is a painful condition, but quite treatable, so you should be good as new once they're done patching you up :thumb:

A quick update: it is confirmed that I need surgery. Not fun, but it sounds like I should have relief almost right away once the surgery is done.

Thanks for the prayers. I am out of the hospital and healing. The pain in my leg is 99% gone. My back is sore now (that is where the surgery was) and I'll be healing at least the next 6 weeks. Prayers for healing would still be great.
