You don't join "THE CHURCH" - you have to be born into it. When you are born-again, that is saved - God places you into the church, the body of Christ. (see Acts 2:47)

Without the experience of being "born again" - we are not Christians at all and "can not see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
