I'm curious at what everyone's favorite image editing software is.

Personally, I am in love(not literally! Don't get any strange ideas ) with Photoshop 7. :yipee:

Of course I will have to vote for Photoshop 7 as mine as this site was built on it :hrm:

You're not alone :bawl:. But I recently downloaded the Gimp. I haven't installed it yet, but it's on my HDD ready to go.

Yes, I downloaded it too, thanks to Cir's link; but it looks way to complicated for me. Half a dozen panels, and no idea how to use them.

Now you're making me feel timid towards it as well. Have you tried hitting it? That usually gets our TV working...err..:shifty:

Paintshop Pro7 it's the only one I've had experience with though.

my favourite image editing is when JP Holding messes with a skeptics ego  oh, software? I have a lot of software, I kind of collect things..I have Photoshop 5 (cant afford 7), GIMP for Windows (yes I have Linux, but havent installed it yet, it would run off 2 floppies) and quite a few icon editors off magazines.

anyone know of a good .gif to .png proggie since Unisys' license kicks butt after June?

yxboom
April 17th 2003, 08:31 AM
.gif is the only file format that allows animation. Otherwise there is a free program at http://www.irfanview.com/ that converts image file types and is very easy to use. Also has a plethora of plugins if you are so inclined.

Photoshop 7.
If the graphics are for a coursework project or something I use paint - more compatable.

I use Photoshop 7 whenever I'm in a uni computer lab, but at work and on my home PC, I'm a Paintshop Pro 7 user. It does 95% of what Photoshop can do, but at roughly a fifth of the price!:teeth:

My lecturer also forces us to use Illustrator occasionally, but I guess that's more of a drawing package than an image editor.

God bless

Paint shop Pro is an excellent package. That's what I use for graphics at college.

I'm kinda afraid to. My comp is slow enough as it is. I'll stick my toe in the water here in a day or two and see how it goes..:shy:

You're being paranoid, if it will run on my old 233mhz machine, it will run on yours. :teeth:

$cirisme

Well, duh, because I've tried it. :duh:

It was a little slow, but faster than I expected. Of course, I was using Linux. :thumb:

Okay, I'm fixing to install it. If it makes my computer take infinite amounts of time to load, then your gonna tell me how to uninstall it, right? :brow:
