I'm thinking of repainting. Home Depot has an oops shelf full of colors that didn't come out right and they're nice and cheap so I am thinking of what colors I want.

Right now the walls are white. I have southern exposure and love the light so I don't want anything too dark. I hate pastels and powder blue/pink, and will neg rep anyone that suggests those colors. :wink:

I have a lot of maroon in the chair and bed, too.

Suggestions?

I'm thinking light tan, but I am half color blind so I dunno. :lol:

I love you so much that doing it is impossible. :hrm:

I went to Behr.com and I think W-D-120 will look very good with a trim color of 540F-4.

If not powder blue, what about Robin's Egg Blue, Teal Blue, Blue Bell, or Blizzard Blue. If not pink, then maybe Mulberry, Hot Magenta, Salmon, or Eggplant.

Each shade carries a different mood and purpose. You just cannot use lemon yellow in a bathroom, but you can get by with Cream.

Also when painting you want to consider what sort of mood you wish to set.

Red (well just pretend it's red) = Mouthwatering and Exciting
Green = Natural and Soothing
Purple = Regal and Luxurious
Gold = Elegant and Formal
Brown = Rich and Traditional
Yellow = Warm and Sunny
White = Airy and Bright
Orange = Rebellious and Fresh
Blue = Serene and Cool
Black = Sophisticated and Solid

Have fun cirisme! :teeth:

I've been decorating with Feng Shui (Chinese art of arrangement). I've found it to be extremely sucessful. Here's a link to color:

The second link is the best.

good luck!

pastel pink half way and pastel blue the other half with a light purple feature wall :hehe: :eek:

ok what about a yellow colour? yellow is supposed to help you to think :smile: and its bright and you could do a moroon feature wall so its not too bright or like a navy even or green ... I think having a feature wall is cool it gives the room an interesting feel :smile:

What exactly is a feature wall?

you paint all of your walls except one the colour of your choice then you have one wall painted a diffrent colour something that blends with the original colour but is diffrent like having say all cream walls but then one wall moroon ...

there is also advantages to this :smile: since all four walls being dark say navy or maroon would cause the whole room to look small and dark you can then paint something lighter and have one dark wall and it doesnt make the room dark and small yet you also get some of the colour you really wanted to start with :smile: over here in oz they are the in thing right now.

also you could do what my son did to his room :teeth: he has a diffrent colour on each wall it's really cool actually.... he has a medium sort of sky blue a teal a medium purple and a yellow wall :smile:

the good thing about paint cir is you can change the colour if you don't like it :wink:... it's not that big a deal... get your paint and paint the room :doh: then if you hate it change the colour... bit like clothing :shrug:

Yeah, but then I have to take everything off the walls, get into dirty clothes(ewww), paint, and stay away till the fumes go away.

It's just such a hassle... :hehe:

:doh: are you a women or a man????? heck most women I know just roll up their sleeves and get into it :doh: maybe it's because their men are too busy procrastinating and worrying about wearing dirty clothes :ahem:
Cir be bold decide to take the step get those old clothes out and be brave... think of it as a challenge :teeth:
