  • The Continuing Mysteries of the Aleppo Codex

A fascinating story of the oldest full copy of the Masoretic text of the Bible and Judaism in exile, from Syria to New Jersey. I hope the missing Torah is restored and the replica of the Aleppo Synagogue is built, at least until it can be rebuilt in Syria.

For those desiring more information regarding the Aleppo Codex, there is a very nice website devoted to it:

Interesting. Thanks for sharing! It's a nice update to the book, which I read last year.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

I recommend you do not try too hard and ...research as little as possible. Such weighty things give me a headache. - Shunyadragon, Baha'i apologist

Yes it is fascinating story, I just read it not to long ago. However, I was surprised about a lot of things and also about how the community had to recover their prayer books.
